Robbery at luxury villa in Mangalapuram; Interstate thief nabbed

KAZHAKKOOTTAM: Police have arrested the accused who stole 38 sovereigns of gold from a luxury villa at Nellimoodu in Mangalapuram. Vishakapatnam native Kaari Satti Babu aka Spider Satheesh was nabbed by the Mangalapuram police from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.

The robbery took place on June 2. After the theft, the accused boarded a KSRTC bus and returned to Andhra. Rural SP Kiran Narayan said that the entire gold has been recovered from the accused.

Kaari Satti Babu is an accused in 70 robbery cases in states such as Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. He is the accused in the case of stealing 7 kg of gold from the house of Minister Kanpur Baburaj in Andhra and in the case of stealing 1.5 kg of gold from the house of a jewelery owner in Kanchipuram. He came to Kerala and committed the theft in Mangalapuram after getting released from prison in this case. According to police, the accused has the method of leading a luxurious life after selling the stolen gold. Kaari Satti can easily climb very high walls and enter inside the house.

Police said that Kaari Satti has four luxury flats in Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Kadapa. The investigation team said that the accused would be taken into custody and brought to the scene of the incident to collect evidence.
