Dirt water poured on assistant engineer, staff assaulted; KSEB pulls fuse of attackers' house

KOZHIKODE: KSEB pulled the fuse of the house of the assailants who committed violence inside the office and beat up the staff. The attack took place in the Thiruvambady KSEB section office.

KSEB Chairman Biju Prabhakar had ordered to disconnect the electricity connection of the house of the assailants who broke into the office and beat up the employees including the assistant engineer and caused damage to the office worth three lakh rupees. Violence at KSEB office: Electricity connection of attackers disconnected.

KSEB Chairman & Managing Director Biju Prabhakar IAS ordered to disconnect the electricity connection of the persons who broke into the Thiruvambady KSEB section office, assaulted the staff including the assistant engineer, vandalized the office and caused damage of about three lakh rupees.

Razak's son Ajmal and his accomplice assaulted and threatened KSEB lineman Prashant P and assistant Ananthu MK on Friday in retaliation for disconnecting the electricity connection of Razak, a resident of Ullat House, Thiruvambady, for non-payment of bills. In this regard, Section Assistant Engineer Prashant PS lodged a complaint at Thiruvambady Police Station. As revenge, Ajmal along with his accomplice Shahdad came to the section office on Saturday morning and committed violence.

During the morning sunrise meeting, the assailants barged into the section office, poured dirty water containing food residue on the body of the assistant engineer and beat up the staff, including women. Threatening to kill them if they came out, the assailants smashed office equipment including computers and caused a lot of damage.

The assaulted assistant engineer and four employees are currently undergoing treatment at the Mukkam Govt Hospital. Thiruvambady police have registered a case under non-bailable sections against the assailants.

The electricity connection in the house of the assailants was disconnected as per the instructions of the Chairman & Managing Director.
