THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary MV Govindan, in a report to party secretaries, strongly criticized the undesirable trends in the party. In his report, Govindan said that the comrades are getting greedy for money.

"Many people join the party with the aim of how to make financial gains. The figures given to the party from the lower level during the Lok Sabha elections were wrong, which is a serious mistake," Govindan criticized in the report.

Govindan also said that the party failed to understand the reality at the ground level. MV Govindan also advised not to stay away from temples.

"Do not abstain from matters of faith. Even if party members don't go, supporters should get involved in temple matters. Believers should also be kept close and people should be treated with humility," he said.

MV Govindan also asked the party members to be active on the important issues like like death and marriage in their area .
