ISLAMABAD: A man has been arrested for burying alive his 15-days-old daughter. The arrested is Tayyab of Sindh province in Pakistan and native of Naushahro Feroze.

The man confessed to the police that he committed the heinous act as he did not have money for her treatment. He cited severe financial constraints for the act. Pakistan has been facing a major financial crisis for the past few years. The sharp fall in the central bank's foreign exchange was the main reason for Pakistan's financial crisis.

With the worsening economic crisis, the common people are in crisis due to the shortage of essential items like food and medicine. The IMF has described Pakistan as the most depleted country in South Asia. According to the World Bank's Global Economic Report, Pakistan's economic growth last year was only 1.7 percent.

Along with this, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which have been providing assistance, have also expressed their reluctance to help Pakistan. These countries had given a warning last year that they will not be able to provide aid as in the past.
