Woman's statement completed in harassment case against Nivin Pauly, says date mentioned while half-asleep

KOCHI: The woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint against actor Nivin Pauly has completed her statement, alleging that the assault occurred on December 14 and 15 of last year. She also accused authorities of attempting to sabotage the investigation.

"I haven't publicly revealed the exact date before, but I have now provided proof. Today's summons was unrelated to the case itself. We were held from 11:30 am just to inquire about our income and how we've managed financially. It feels like there is a conspiracy at play," she told the media.

She expressed her frustration, saying, "I have lost faith in the system. Nothing is being done regarding the case. Sunil, who is involved, is still in hiding and only his lawyer has made an appearance. There is no hope left. The date I mentioned was said when I was half-asleep. If Nivin has submitted his passport, it is their responsibility to verify it."

The woman initially accused Nivin of raping her at a hotel in Dubai in November and December of 2023, specifically on December 14.

However, director Vineeth Sreenivasan recently stated that Nivin was with him on the set of their film *Varshangalkk Shesham* on December 14, 2023. Actress Parvathy also confirmed that she was with Nivin on set during the time the alleged assault took place.

Nivin Pauly has since lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP), asserting that the allegations against him are fabricated and demanding an investigation into the alleged conspiracy. He has also submitted a copy of his passport, which reportedly shows that he hadn't stayed at the hotel mentioned in the complaint since 2021.
