RAIPUR: Two jawans died in an IED blast by Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Four jawans were injured. Special Task Force (STF) jawans Bharat Lal Sahu and Satyer Singh Kage have lost their lives. The incident took place last night in the forest area of Bijapursukmadantewada districts.
A joint team of security personnel was returning after an anti-Maoist operation. Security has been beefed up and more troops have been deployed in the area, officials said. The injured jawans are undergoing treatment at the district hospital in the area. They will be shifted to Raipur for specialist treatment.
On the last 23rd IED in Sukma district. Two CRPF, including a Malayali, exploded. The soldiers had died bravely. Last month, security forces killed six Maoists in Narayanpur district.
