KALPATTA: Fathers and mothers who have lost their children, orphaned toddlers, everywhere in Wayanad are heart-breaking sights. Bhavana, the wife of Sajin Parekkara, a native of Idukki Upputhara and the mother of two children, was deeply hurt when she heard about the tragedy in Wayanad and the children who lost their parents. The mother volunteered to share her four-month-old baby's breast milk with strangers. She spoke to Kerala Kaumudi about this.
'I am a mother of two children aged four years and four months each. I am breastfeeding her second child. I know the plight of motherless babies. That's why I'm ready for this. When I asked my husband, he supported me,' said Sajin's wife Bhavana.
Two people called from the camp yesterday after Sajin informed through social media. There are babies here, how soon can you reach here, they asked. We set off immediately with our children. I don't know how long I will have to stay. So we took sufficient clothes with us.
