THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hours have passed since the missing of a 13-year-old girl from the capital city’s Kazhakoottam. Assam native Anwar Hussain's daughter Tasmeen Begum has been missing since Tuesday morning. The investigating team says that the child knows only the Assamese language. City Police Commissioner Sparjan Kumar has reached the Kazhakoottam police station and is assessing the situation.

Earlier today, Tasmeen received a dressing down from her mother for quarrelling with neighbouring children. In a rage over getting scolded, Tasmeen left the house. However, the family smelled something wrong after Tasmeen failed to return home even after hours. It is doubted that Tasmeen left her house with a bag full of her clothes. It was just one month before that the girl reached the capital city.

Police have intensified the search. Those who have information about the child should immediately call 94979 60113.
