Boche to give land for 100 families to build houses from 1000 acres in Meppadi

KALPETTA: Hundreds of people alive in Wayanad landslides are staying in various relief camps in the district. Many have lost their dear ones and all that they have earned in one night. They are still in shock. People are not able to console them.

Aids like food and clothing are flowing in for the victims. Even as essential commodities like rice, salt, sanitary napkins, and clothes pour in from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, there is one question before them. Where to next? Many have come forward to help them with houses. The question remains as to who will provide the land for it.
Bobby Chemmannur alias Boche, revealed to Kerala Kaumudi Online that he will provide land for 100 families to build houses.

His words
‘I am in Wayanad. The idea came when visited the camp yesterday. We went to the relief camps with food and clothes. When distributing things, they said they have all these and asked where will we go after this.

How long can we stay in this camp? Where will we go, the victims were wailing saying that they have lost their houses and property. I have 1000 acres in Meppadi. Out of that, promised to give free land for 100 families to build houses. The decision was taken last night. Will meet the collector this afternoon for further procedures to be done. That is what they need now.

Our five ambulances are there. There is no place to park the ambulances as there are many there. Everything needed is there.

Finding 100 families
I was in the camp yesterday. I went to their rooms and talked. There are about 2000 people. Around 100 families need houses. The rest of the people had died. It is an approximate estimate. The land will be given to them to build houses, he said.
