KALPATTA: The search continues for the eighth consecutive day in the landslide-affected area of Mundakkai, Wayanad. Unofficial estimates place the death toll around 400, with approximately 200 people still missing. Amidst the tragedy, a heartwarming video of rescued cows and pet dogs at a farm in Mundakkai has gone viral on social media.

A video, shared by a rescue team from Wayanad, is now circulating widely. In this video, a young man explains that a dog has been with their group for the past two or three days, searching for someone. The video captures the dog's pitiful and heart-wrenching expression as it stands with the rescue team.

Full version of the post reads:

"Someone important to him is trapped under the landslide debris. He is trying to communicate with us, his expression full of despair. He stands at a spot where massive rocks have fallen, rocks that can't be moved even by excavators. We can only watch helplessly. This loyal dog has been with the Trauma Care team for 2-3 days. Such experiences are everywhere. Everyone, man and beast alike, feels the same sorrow."
