NIRF ranking: University of Kerala tops the state and stands ninth in India

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala has performed brilliantly in the National Education Quality Test in the field of higher education. Three universities of Kerala are among the top 15 ranked public sector universities selected in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) implemented by the Union Ministry of Education.

Kerala University was ranked 9th, CUSAT 10th and Mahatma Gandhi University 11th. The University of Calicut got 43rd rank in the same category. Chennai Anna University, West Bengal Jadavpur University and Maharashtra Savitribai Phule Pune University have bagged the top three ranks.
Kerala University ranked 38th, CUSAT 51st and MG University 67th in the top 100 list of higher education institutions. In the university-only ranking list, Kerala got 21st, CUSAT 34th, MG 37th and Calicut 89th.
