Obscene photos of children, patients and even relatives; Indian doctor arrested in US

WASHINGTON: American media has revealed some shocking details about a 40-year-old Indian doctor, alleged to have secretly recorded hundreds of videos of women and children. A doctor named Omair Aijaz was arrested on the 8th of this month. He recorded the footage by placing hidden cameras in different parts of the hospital.

Cameras are mainly hidden in toilets, hospital rooms and changing areas. His infiltrated mindset even made him install cameras in his own house and capture the private moments of women members within his family. According to reports, he even recorded the video of his two-year-old child. Omair’s wife approached the police with all the evidence.

The officials promised a strong investigation into the matter and said that it would take a few days to understand the depth of the matter. A collection of more than thousand videos was recovered from the suspect's home in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Police say that it is difficult to find all the victims due to the vast videos recorded.

About 15 devices including computers and phones have been recovered from his possession. There were 13,000 videos on one hard drive alone. The officials clarified that the videos were also stored in the cloud storage. The culprit has also taken videos of sexually assaulting unconscious and sleeping women. Omair came to America in 2011.
