The controversy erupted after Krishnakumar ridiculed the report in a vlog on his wife Sindhu Krishna's YouTube channel.

In the video, Krishnakumar, with a burst of laughter, tells Sindhu, "Don't say such things, there are several commissions coming up these days. Don't knock on the door while I'm sitting here." Sindhu Krishna is seen reacting similarly in the video. This exchange has sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning Krishnakumar's comments as insensitive and dismissive of the report's serious nature.

Critics have taken to social media to express their disapproval, with comments like "His daughter is also a film actress, that’s the comedy," "Look at his body language" and "Misogyny is their basic slogan."
