THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress and director Revathi alleged that some forces had worked to prevent the release of the Hema Committee report. She said that many people could have been saved if the report had been made public earlier. She stated that she faced discrimination even from some of her colleagues for supporting women's causes.

"I faced discrimination even from some of my colleagues for supporting women's causes. This discrimination caused me pain and shock," Revathi said.

The senior actress welcomed the formation of a special investigation team to probe the allegations. However, she emphasized that the investigation and trial of complaints should not drag on indefinitely. She also stated that she personally did not experience the existence of a 'power group' as mentioned in the Hema Committee report.

Meanwhile, a special investigation team appointed by the government is preparing to record statements from those who have openly spoken about sexual harassment in the film industry. The team, led by Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner IG Sparjan Kumar, consists of four women IPS officers. Crime Branch ADGP H Venkatesh will supervise the investigation.
