Dispute over price of carrots; vegetable vendor hacked to death in Ranni

PATHANAMTHITTA: A vegetable vendor was hacked to death by a two-member gang in Ranni, Pathanamthitta. The deceased has been identified as Anil, a vegetable vendor in Ranni. According to sources, the murder occurred following an argument over the price of carrots. Two people have been taken into police custody in connection with the case.

One of the persons in police custody is a habitual offender with multiple criminal cases against him. The body has been shifted to the hospital. Another person who was nearby during the attack was also injured. He is undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
