Serial producer and production controller booked for allegedly sexually assaulting actress after promising her role in serial

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Museum Police have registered a case against serial producer Sudheesh Sekhar and production controller Shanu for allegedly raping a Thiruvananthapuram-based actress. The case was filed based on the complaint lodged by the actress, who alleged that the duo had promised her a role in a serial and raped her at a flat in Kanaka Nagar in 2018.

According to the police, the accused had lured the actress with promises of a role in a serial and committed the crime. The case was registered under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, which took place in 2018.
