Entered school hostel and molested girls; headmistress' son arrested

TIRUCHIRAPPALLI: Doctor arrested for sexually assaulting girls in school hostel. Dr. Samson Daniel, 31, molested minor girls in the hostel of a government-aided school. The accused's mother is the headmistress of the same school.

Tamil Nadu Tiruchirappalli Fort All Women Police registered a case under the POCSO section and arrested the accused. The accused's mother, Grace Sagayarani (54), has been arrested by the police for allegedly helping to conceal the crimes. They were sent to judicial custody for three days.

The news came to light after one of the abused girls called the helpline number. The District Child Welfare Committee Officer and other officials spoke to the girls. With this, it was clarified that the accused doctor had been abusing the children for months.
