Snake bites school teacher during Onam celebration in Kasaragod

KASARAGOD: In yet another strange incident amidst Onam, a school teacher was bitten by a snake during Onam celebrations in Kasaragod. The incident took place at Nileswaram Rajahs School, Kasaragod. Vidya, the teacher, who was in the classroom is now undergoing treatment. The incident happened on Friday noon when the snake crept inside the room without anybody noticing.

Soon after Vidya showed physical discomfort, she was immediately admitted to the Kanhangad Taluk Hospital. It was here that the bite marks on the legs were found. It is reported that Vidya was bitten by a non-venomous snake. The snake was soon found in the classroom and was beaten to death.
