THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that it is unfortunate that the government is not ready to discuss the adjournment motion moved by the opposition in the Hema Committee report. "The discussion was not held because the government would be in the dock. The government does not want to discuss the Hema Committee report," VD Satheesan said.
VD Satheesan also asked where should the issue, which seriously affects women in Kerala, be discussed if it is not discussed in the Assembly. "How many times has the Lavalin case been discussed in the assembly? The assembly is becoming a Kaurava Sabha. Justice Hema did not say that the report should not be released," VD Satheesan told the media.
"Minister Saji Cheriyan had said that Justice Hema had said that the report should not be made public. Everyone knows that Justice Hema has not made such a comment anywhere. 'The Supreme Court has said certain things and the report should be released accordingly," Justice Hema said. That is what Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Culture Minister Saji Cheriyan used to mislead even the assembly by saying that Justice Hema had written a letter not to release the report," Satheesan alleged.
