PALAKKAD: MP Shafi Parampil has criticized BJP state president K Surendran’s recent comments targeting Rahul Mamkoottathil in connection with the Kodakara hawala case. Shafi alleged that the BJP is attempting to shift focus and create distractions as they face an imminent loss, asserting that the people of Palakkad see through the political tactics.

Shafi's words

The people of Palakkad have taken a firm decision that it will be Rahul Mamkoottathil who will defeat the BJP. A former office secretary of the BJP told a channel about how the black money came. What is the role of the UDF candidate in their disclosure? Is Rahul managing their office secretary? When they score an own goal, they can't get away with changing the post to the UDF candidate. Now everyone understood that a serious financial crime had been committed.

Although the money was taken from the car, it was not there. Couldn't there be a source for that? Is the center looking into this? Had it been in the house of Congress leaders, there would have been waves of raids by now. The government of Kerala is in a hurry to exonerate Surendran. Kerala police are not investigating this. Why is ED keeping silent? Everyone now accepts that a very serious crime was committed. I understand that there will be more revelations from the BJP in the coming days.
