Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi revealed that she will never get married in her life. She said that many incidents that happened in her family are behind the decision. She said that she grew up watching weddings in Guruvayur temple. The actress opened up these things during the promotion of her new film ‘Hello Mummy’.
'There had been many problems in life between me and my mother. But our relationship is strong. I acted in Hello Mummy for that reason. I have done many films just to make my mother understand many things. I did the film Archana 31 Not Out because of that. ‘Archana 31 Not Out’ tells the story of a woman getting ready to get married due to pressure from her family.
I do films targeting many people. I have tried to show that I am a good daughter in front of my parents. I understood it recently. My passion brought me to the film industry. I take the permission of my parents to commit a film. Girls go through this situation more than boys. No one understands that.
Some things are done against the wishes of my parents. I entered the film industry without their permission. They don't like my close friends either. Our society has long told us who should be what. I entered the film industry at the age of 26. So, I have the ability to decide what I don't want and what I want. Usually, heroines enter the film industry at a young age but I didn't enter like that.
After doing some films, my parents started talking about marriage. This is the biggest issue. Sometimes I don't know if my thinking is wrong. I will never get married. I have said this in all my interviews. I don't believe in marriage. Not everyone has to do this. Earlier, I wished to get married in Guruvayur temple. I got all that from my mother. Since childhood, I used to go to Guruvayur regularly to pray for something. There is no one who doesn't go without any reason.
Only one family that I know is still living happily. I am 34 years old now. I have never seen a family that is always happy. A marriage can only progress when one puts aside their personal matters, isn't that right? No matter how progressive anyone may be, eventually everyone will reach this point. I realized this in two years,’ she said.
