THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vehicular-related services were completely disrupted due to another glitch in the 'Vahan' software of the Department of Motor Vehicles. People were unable to submit applications and pay fees. The problem was unresolved even during late Monday night.
The software for the Motor Vehicle Department offices also crashed leaving the office work in crisis. The technical glitch also resulted in erroneous penalty messages reaching many people's phones. The operation of 'Vahan' has been facing troubles for the last two weeks. The software mostly crashes while the payment is made to the treasury.
The Department of Motor Vehicles has informed us that it is a nationwide fault, and efforts are being made to resolve it. Vahan Sarathi software is continuously crashing in the state. The eChallan system for payment of fines is also facing issues.
