KANNUR: A youngster was arrested for vandalizing the Congress office in Kannur Pinarayi. Vipin Raj, a native of Kanalkkara, was arrested and according to police, he is a CPM sympathizer. The attack took place after breaking the CCTV cameras in the office. Along with breaking the windows, the culprit also tried to put the main door aflame. The incident took place on Sunday just hours before the office was to be inaugurated by KPCC president K Sudhakaran.
Taking note of the disgraceful incident, Sudhakaran took to Facebook to share his rage.
“Albeit witnessing the blood of our close ones, we choose not to retreat. Vandalizing the Congress office would not scare us in any way. It is already late but CPM goons must realize that their aim of destroying Congress party would only remain as a pipedream.
I have spoken many times about the brutality of the CPM in not even agreeing to cremate Venduttai Babu, an early associate of present Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. CPM goons stabbed him to death. The Indian National Congress responded by building a new booth committee office in that same CPM bastion of Venduttai. CPM has adopted the shameless politics of destroying offices in the dead of night.
“I have taken up the CPM challenge and inaugurated the congress office in Pinarayi. No matter how many goons you employ, the tricolour of Congress will continue to fly high,” said K Sudhakaran.
