THALASSERY: A mother wails for the life of her son sentenced to death for killing a mentally disturbed Arab while resisting a life-threatening situation. This mother is weeping without knowing whose help she should seek to save the life of her 24-year-old son of Thalassery. Laila of Nettur in Thalassery is praying for the life of her son Muhammed Rinash.

Rinash is presently lodged in Al Ain Prison in Dubai. Rinash was sentenced to death two months ago in the incident that happened six years ago. Rinash was an employee of a travel agency in Dubai Al Ain.

When he returned home after buying goods as requested by the agency owner, he was attacked by his mentally disturbed relative who was there. When Rinash was struggling to escape from his hands, he accidentally stabbed him leading to his death. After the trial, the court sentenced him to death.

Rinash was the only support of Laila, a poor woman with three children. Laila said that her son had not been involved in any crime before. This mother is waiting for the Indian Embassy, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Speaker Adv A N Shamseer, Shafi Parambil MP, former external affairs minister V Muraleedharan and others to save him from death penalty.
