'Wound is still raw and painful, miss you'; Singer K S Chithra shares heartrending note on Instagram

Messages started pouring after singer K S Chithra shared a heartrending note on her late daughter’s birthday on Wednesday.

“I have heard people say that each birth has a purpose and will leave to the eternal world after finishing that purpose. Some say time is a healer. But the people who have gone through it know that it is not true. The wound is still raw and painful. Miss you Nandana.” Wrote K S Chithra on Instagram.

Even last year Chithra shared a post on Instagram on the same day with the caption "Celebrate your birthday with the angels in heaven, where you will not grow old even after years."

Chithra and her husband Vijay Shankar were blessed with a child in 2002, only after years of waiting. But tragedy struck in 2011 when Nandhana, Chithra’s daughter, drowned in a swimming pool in Dubai.
