THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Curtain falls for the 29th International Film Festival of Kerala. The Brazilian film 'Malu' directed by Pedro Freire won the Suvarna Chakoram(Golden Crow Pheasant Award). Farshad Hashemi won the best director award and Cristóbal Leon won the best debut director award.
Malayalam film 'Feminichi Fathima' directed by Fazil Muhammad won four awards. The film won the awards for Best Malayalam Film, Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique (FIPRESCI), Popular Film and Best Screenplay. Indu Lakshmi won the Best Debut Director award for the film Appuram. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the awards at the closing ceremony held at Nishagandhi.
