SIVAGIRI: Minister MB Rajesh said that Sree Narayana Guru Deva was the teacher who laid the foundation of the secular democratic society and through the Aruvipuram Pratishta, he laid the foundation stone for modern Kerala. He was inaugurating the 92nd Sivagiri Pilgrimage.
"The renaissance was continued through Aruvipuram Pratishtha. It was also a light for the country. After the Prathishtha, he wrote there that this is a model site where brotherhood reigns. Kerala is able to maintain that position. The concept of fraternity written by Gurudeva came into the constitution also. Guru gave the idea of brotherhood to India 62 years before the constitution was written.
The Guru was revolutionary in redefining the meaning of deities. Guru's philosophy was rooted in transcendental humanism. In this day and age where intolerance is spreading in the name of religion, what else can replace the age-old message that no matter what the religion is, it is the person who should be good? Guru's vision was based on love. He reinterpreted Advaita as one. Guru and constitutional architect Dr. Ambedkar are united in working for the abolition of caste. Guru established that humanity is the caste of humans. The Guru was the supreme sage who denied the restrictions.
The works of the Guru have an amazing insight. Kerala is moving along the paths paved by Guru who gave the message against communalism. Minister Rajesh also pointed out that the Sivagiri Pilgrimage was conceived by the Guru as a search for truth to improve modern life.
