Unni Mukundan-starrer Marco has already gained the reputation of being the most violent film in India. The movie features such extreme violence that some scenes are reportedly unbearable for audiences to watch. Yet, Marco has received a tremendous reception across various languages in India, including Hindi. Reports have surfaced that some viewers walked out of theatres after being unable to endure certain scenes in the second half.
Now, young star Asif Ali has also found himself in a similar situation, as revealed by the movie's makeup artist Sudhi Surendran.
"Asif Ali came to watch Marco directly from the shooting location of another movie. He was accompanied by his family. While he was okay with the first half of the film, the second half turned out to be too intense for him to continue watching. He then stepped out of the theatre, claiming he received a phone call. He left the theatre quite emotional. Asifikka's kids often accompany him on set, which likely contributed to his emotional response," Sudhi said.
Meanwhile, Marco is all set to become Unni Mukundan's first film to gross 100 crore at the box office. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the film features Telugu actress Yukti Thareja as the female lead. The script is also penned by Haneef Adeni. Cinematography is handled by Chandru Selvaraj, and music is composed by Ravi Basrur. The supporting cast includes Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Abhimanyu Thilakan.
