SIVAGIRI: KPCC president K Sudhakaran MP said that some attempts are being made to rob not only the ideals of Guru Deva but also him and Guru Deva cannot be allowed to be taken by anyone. He was inaugurating the student youth conference in connection with the Sivagiri pilgrimage.
"An attempt is being made to suppress Sree Narayana Gurudeva, the universal citizen who proclaimed one caste, one religion, and one God, in the name of Sanatana Dharma. Caste, religion and its fences are still strangling us. This is the place where the revolutionary voice of one caste, one religion, one God was raised. There was a time when the people were separated into Avarna and Savarna and a wall was built. All of Guru's activities were to awaken Avarana's sense of identity. Guru's consecration of Shiva at Aruvipuram was the first trumpet for the oppressed to rise. He proved that a non-Brahmin can perform consecration. It was an open challenge to the upper caste dominance," Sudhakaran said.
Minister P.A. Muhammad Riaz presided. A.A. Rahim MP, Rahul Mamkootathil MLA, Cambridge Mayor Baiju Thitala, KPCC General Secretary M. Liju, Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha (GDPS) Chief Coordinator Sathyan Panthala, AIYF State Vice President R. Jayan, GDPS Vice President V.K. Mohammad, Goa SNGMS former president K.R. Sasidharan, R. Microsite to spread Guru's vision: Minister Riaz
Minister PA Muhammad Riaz said that the State Tourism Department will prepare a microsite to bring the vision and excellence of Sree Narayana Gurudevan to the world. The minister informed about the preparation of a microsite to convey Guru's message to tourists coming to Kerala from anywhere in the world.
“It is a great pleasure to be able to announce this at Sivagiri itself. A microsite in various languages containing the messages of Sree Narayana Guru will be set up. The microsite will be developed as a place to know about the Guru and his renaissance activities. Through this, the world can understand more about the temples, ashrams, etc. which Guru Deva consecrated. The site will explain about the Sivagiri Mutt and the things related to the pilgrimage." The minister said that it is hoped that more tourists will be able to reach here through the microsite.
