KOCHI: Businessman Boby Chemmanur, who was remanded by the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court for 14 days on the complaint lodged by actress Honey Rose, has been shifted to the Kakkanad District Jail. Meanwhile, supporters of Boby Chemmanur have come forward in his defence. On Thursday evening, chaos erupted when the supporters blocked the police vehicle transporting Boby from the court to Ernakulam General Hospital for a medical check-up. The supporters used strong language to criticize the police and media, alleging mistreatment of Boby.
Their words
"Is there any other businessman in the world who can be contacted by anyone day and night? The police are unnecessarily parading Boby around. He has significant health issues. There was no need for the police to handle him this way. This is unacceptable. Fine, the court sent him to jail, but if something happens, will the judiciary take up the responsibility?"
"BoChe is not an ordinary person. he is the leader of a major organization. He supports lakhs of people by paying their salaries and managing massive operations. He is not an average person like you or me. If trouble arises, shouldn't we stand by him? The media has been relentless for the past three days, not allowing him peace to move or rest. Isn't there governance in this country? Is BoChe an ordinary man?"
After being denied bail by the court, Boby Chemmanur reportedly appeared dejected in the court. His blood pressure spiked and he showed signs of physical discomfort. He was allowed to rest briefly in the courtroom before being taken to the General Hospital for a medical examination. From there, he was transferred to Kakkanad District Jail.
