THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An investigation has been ordered into the incident of damaging buses during the strike by the TDF, an alliance of INTUC unions in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.

The minister told a media that the incident is seen very seriously and that if KSRTC employees had damaged the wiring of the buses, they will be sacked. There were reports that wiring of about eight buses in Kottarakkara has been damaged. This was done to prevent the buses from operating services during the strike.

Employees have the right to strike. However, obstructing those working and behaving disloyally towards their jobs is bad. The people want to save KSRTC. Meanwhile, the minister clarified that such acts cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
