KOLLAM: The post shared by Pathanamthitta CPM district secretariat member and former Travancore Devaswom Board president A Padmakumar during the CPM state conference is becoming the talk of the town. He shared his own picture with the caption 'Deception, betrayal, insult, balance sheet of 52 years, Lal Salam'. It is assessed that A Padmakumar was making his dissatisfaction over not being included in the CPM state committee public. The profile picture was also changed. The post was withdrawn after it garnered attention.

Padmakumar had responded to an online channel earlier that he was upset about not being included in the state committee. He added that others could have been considered in the state committee along with the youth. He said that he had no problem with Veena George being included and that he had a mentality that he should have been given consideration. Padmakumar said that parliamentary activities should not be the basis of inclusion. He also clarified that he will ask MV Govindan why he was not included.

Meanwhile, KK Shailaja, MV Jayarajan and CN Mohanan have been included in the 17-member secretariat. However, leaders MB Rajesh, P Jayarajan, Kadakampally Surendran, KP Udayabhanu and P Sasi were not considered. The CPM has chosen an 89-member state committee. 17 new faces have been included. The new faces selected for the state committee are S Jayamohan (Kollam), M Prakashan Master (Kannur), V K Sanoj (Kannur), V Wasif (Kozhikode), K Santhakumari (Palakkad), R Bindu (Thrissur), M Anilkumar (Ernakulam), K Prasad (Alappuzha), B R Raghunath (Kottayam), D K Murali (Thiruvananthapuram), M Rajagopal (Kasaragod), K Rafeeq (Wayanad), M Mehboob (Kozhikode), V P Anil (Malappuram), K V Abdul Khader (Thrissur).
