BENGALURU: The much-awaited Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, will hit the theaters tomorrow. The suspense-filled film has already created a buzz among moviegoers, with Malayalis eager to watch the first show itself. In a unique move, a college in Bengaluru has declared a holiday for its students to watch the film on its opening day. Around 500 students and teachers from Good Shepherd College in Bengaluru are expected to head to the theatres to catch the first show of the film.
The students confirmed that the holiday on Thursday was specifically declared to allow them to watch Empuraan. This is the first time the college has granted a holiday for a movie release. "We are all huge fans of Mohanlal. This is the first time we are going to watch a Mohanlal movie on its release day," the students said.
In addition to Malayali students, Kannada students will also be heading to theatres to watch Empuraan. The college hosts students from various parts of the country.
A student from Delhi shared, "This is the first time I am going to watch a Malayalam film. I've heard a lot about Mohanlal from my friends. They always say he is an exceptional actor. I am really excited to watch the film on its release day."
