Actress Neena Gupta says she is very sad about the sexual desires of Indian women. She says that most women in India believe that sex is only for reproduction and for pleasing men. The actress says that 99 percent of Indian women do not know that sex is for the pleasure of both men and women.
Neena Gupta made her opinion known in a conversation with YouTuber and television presenter Lilly Singh. 'Only a small group of women have realized that sex is something that everyone can enjoy. For the majority of women, it is not pleasurable at all.' Neena Gupta also said that sex is an overrated word. She also talks about how movies have shaped her understanding of sexuality and sexual desire.
"If you are a woman, your most basic need is to find a man. For a long time I thought that if you kiss, you will get pregnant. I thought that was the truth. That is what our films have shown us," said Neena Gupta. She also said that Indians need to stop seeing sex as a taboo subject. She said that only a very small section of women have realised that sex can be enjoyable for all parties.
Neena Gupta was the partner of West Indies cricket legend Vivian Richards. They have a daughter from this relationship. Her name is Masaba Gupta. Later, at the age of 48, she married Vivek Mehra.
