Cop commits suicide in Pathanamthitta

PATHANAMTHITTA: A civil police officer (CPO) of Thiruvalla Police Station was found hanging at home. He has been identified as R Ratheesh (41) of Chittar. The incident happened at around 11 pm last night. Ratheesh was found hanging and was taken to the hospital by his relatives but died on the way.

It is reported that Ratheesh was heavily drunk at that time. He attempted suicide when his mother was at home. He did not appear for work during the past two months. Following his illegal leave, the police department had completed an investigation and had sent a report to the higher authorities. The body has been shifted to the Pathanamthitta General Hospital.
