‘The Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully executed its assigned missions in Operation Sindoor with precision and professionalism. The operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner aligned with national objectives. As the operations are still ongoing, a detailed explanation will be issued in due course. The Air Force requests everyone to refrain from unconfirmed information and speculation,’ the Air Force wrote on X.
Operation Sindoor was conducted on May 7 in retaliation for the April 22 terror attacks that killed 26 innocent people. Operation Sindoor was a revenge for the killing of a man in front of his wife. Four terrorist camps in Pakistan and five in occupied Kashmir were burnt. These are Lashkar, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen camps. 70 terrorists were killed and 100 were injured. Among the dead were 10 relatives and four aides of Jaish chief and terrorist Masood Azhar, including his sister.
Rafale and Mirage fighters were used in the operation that lasted from 1.05 am to 1.30 am. GPS, laser-guided Scalp missiles and Hammer bombs hit the target without missing a beat. They showed their strength by destroying terrorist camps 100 km inside Pakistan without entering Pakistani soil. Civilian and military installations were not hit.
