Air travel amid war fears: Gulf Malayalis uncertain about services

KOCHI: Air services in the Gulf region have been disrupted due to the fear of war. The travel of many Indians, including Malayalis, is in limbo. The travel of those who were supposed to return home for the summer vacation is uncertain. Although services have resumed, it may take days to return to normal.

Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE temporarily closed their airspace following the Iranian attack on a US military base in Qatar. Malayalis were the worst affected by the suspension of services by airlines in the Gulf.
