ABU DHABI: Tens of thousands of Indian expatriates, including many Malayalis, are working in various sectors across the UAE. While the income is often higher than in India, there are also many who work for modest wages in UAE dirhams. However, a new report from CareerNet Group, a leading talent solutions firm in India, reveals that some Indians in the UAE are earning monthly salaries of up to Rs 10 lakh.
According to the report, professionals working in mid-to-senior level roles in sectors such as Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies are earning as much as AED 45,000 (approximately Rs 10,56,942). Indian tech professionals are reportedly earning up to three times more in the UAE than they would in India. The average salary range for Indians in the tech sector is between AED 25,000 and AED 45,000, and those in highly specialised or senior management roles may earn even more.
CareerNet Group CEO Anshuman Das noted that today’s job seekers do not prioritise salary alone. They also consider factors such as support during job transitions, performance-based bonuses, opportunities for career growth, and the overall value of the job. He added that the new generation of job seekers gives importance to aligning their personal goals with international career benefits. This is one of the main reasons why many professionals are choosing to move to the UAE, he explained.
