INDORE: The honeymoon murder that was much discussed in the country last month is being made into a movie. Businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, a native of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, was murdered by his wife and lover. Reports are coming out that Raja Raghuvanshi's family has given permission to make this story into a movie.
The film, which is being directed by SP Nimbawat, is tentatively titled 'Honeymoon in Shillong'. Raja Raghuvanshi was murdered by his wife Sonam and her lover Raj Kushwaha. Raja Raghuvanshi's brother told the media that the family has given its consent to the film on the murder.
"We agree to bring the story of my brother's murder to the big screen. We hope it will help people know what really happened. Everyone should understand who is right and who is wrong," said Raja Raghuvanshi's elder brother Sachin. Director Nimbawat said that through this film, he wants to give a message to end such betrayals. He said that the script has been completed and 80 percent of the shooting will be in Indore and the remaining 20 percent will be in various locations in Meghalaya.
24-year-old Sonam and 29-year-old Raja from Indore got married on May 11. After the wedding, Raja and Sonam went to Meghalaya for their honeymoon. The two went missing after checking out of a homestay in Nongriat village on May 23. On June 2, Raja's body was found in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) in East Khasi Hills district. Sonam was not found. Initially, the police thought that the assailants had attacked Sonam. The police then started an investigation. Meanwhile, Sonam was found at a dhaba in Ghazipur. Later, Sonam Raghuvanshi confessed to the police that she had killed her husband.
