MALAPPURAM: Two Keralites on board Iranian Ship Grace-1 seized by Royal Marines of Britain, have reached home. K K Ajmal of Malappuram and Prajith of Kasargod are the two who reached homes. Ajmal was the junior officer of Grace-1. Ajmal released from the ship reached Dubai after completing all the proceedings. He landed at the Karipur Airport Friday early morning. Prajith reached Kasargod two days back.

It was in the first week of July that the Iranian flagged ship was seized by British Royal Navy, off Gibraltar. Grace-1 was impounded over claim that it was bound for Syria. The British has already clarified that they only impounded Grace 1 due to suspected destination-a port in Syria-not due to the fact that the ship was carrying Iranian oil.
