SC appoints retd Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia as chairperson of search committee for Digital Technological University VC appointments 

NEW DELHI: Retd justice Sudhanshu Dhuli has been appointed as the chairperson of the search committee for the appointment of vice chancellor for the Digital Technological University. The Supreme Court accepted Kerala's demand. The Supreme Court directed that the search committee be formed within two weeks and the appointment of the VC should be completed within two months.

The court clarified that the search committee will be formed based on the list provided by the state and the governor for the appointment of the permanent VC, and that two people will be nominated by the chancellor and two by the state.

The Supreme Court considered the plea filed by the state government against the governor. The state had earlier informed the court that there was no cooperation from the side of the governor. The state also informed that they tried their best to cooperate. However, the Attorney General informed the court that there was no effort from the state government.
