PALAKKAD: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA thanked the Transport Minister for starting the KSRTC AC seater service on the Palakkad-Bengaluru route. Rahul expressed his gratitude to the Minister for taking a positive stand on the issue, through a Facebook post. He wrote on Facebook that the Minister had considered a long-standing demand. The MLA thanked the Honorable Transport Minister for his sympathetic consideration of the issue with the words, "Palakkad's gratitude filled with love."
'Palakkad has long been demanding an AC bus service to Bengaluru. Bengaluru is a city that many Palakkad residents rely on for their studies and jobs. However, private vehicles often charge a high fee during rush hours. As a solution to that, I met the Transport Minister, Shri K. B. Ganesh Kumar, in person and wrote a letter demanding a KSRTC AC bus. Palakkad's gratitude filled with love to the Honorable Transport Minister for his sympathetic consideration of this demand of Palakkad,' he wrote.
Rahul had said at the flag-off ceremony yesterday that the long-standing demand of Palakkad people to have an AC bus to Bengaluru has become a reality. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony yesterday, the MLA clarified that more services outside the state will start soon. The KSRTC AC bus will leave from the Palakkad depot at 9 pm and from Bengaluru at 9.15 am. The fare from Palakkad to Bengaluru is Rs 1171 on Sundays and Rs 900 on other days.
