'God bless Jemimah. Has anyone done that?' Actress Kasturi's comments about Jemimah's post-match speech goes viral

CHENNAI: BJP leader and actress Kasturi Shankar responded to the post-match speech made by Indian cricket player Jemimah Jessica Rodrigues.

“I thank Jesus, my parents and my coach. Jesus helped me chase down a massive 339 runs; now it’s time for the finals.” This was Jemimah’s response after her heroics with the bat.

Despite being showered with praise, some quarters of social media found the cricketer’s comments to be distasteful for the event. Amidst this came the response from BJP leader and former actress Kasturi. Her comments have now ignited a debate on social media.

"God bless Jemimah. But I wonder what would have happened if she had said Jai Shri Ram, Har Har Mahadev, Sat Shri Akal. Has anyone done that?" Kasthuri wrote on social media.
