Horses are roaming around Coimbatore like stray dogs in Kerala. Their attacks have been increasing in the last few months. There are differences of opinion between the corporation and animal lovers on the issue. The corporation officials informed that the horses will be seized and the owners will be summoned and an explanation will be sought and also a fine will be imposed.
Locals complain that the corporation is taking the incident very lightly. They said that the horse attacks are a regular occurrence in a situation where people are struggling by the menace of stray dogs. Health experts also said that the health issues caused by horse attacks are very serious.
