CHANDIGARH: The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested three people, including two Pakistani terrorists, in an operation in Punjab's Malerkotla. The Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted this operation in collaboration with Punjab Police. The Pakistani terrorists arrested are Abu Hurairah and Usman. A local resident named Jameel has also been arrested along with them. Jameel was the one who helped the terrorists get a rented house.
Among those arrested is Abu Hurairah, a dangerous terrorist in the A+ category. Intelligence agencies believe that they will get information about Pakistani terror plans in India from them. The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Srinagar Police had received a tip-off that Pakistani terrorists were hiding in Malerkotla.
Following this, the SOG along with the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) unit of the Punjab Police conducted a raid in Sherwani Kot village of Malerkotla. During the raid, three terrorists tried to escape but were caught. After their arrest, all three terrorists were handed over to Srinagar Police on transit remand. The terrorists had been living in different parts of India for the last 15 years. They were hiding their identities as Indian citizens without raising any suspicion.
