
BENGALURU: Confidant Group owner CJ Roy committed suicide. He shot himself in his corporate office in Langford Town, Bengaluru. Roy shot himself dead during a government raid here.
Roy was rushed to Narayana Hospital immediately after the incident, but his life could not be saved. The incident took place on Friday afternoon. Roy opened fire with his own gun in his office room. The Ashok Nagar police have rushed to the spot and are investigating. The Income Tax Department had conducted extensive raids at his offices and residences today following allegations of tax evasion.
CJ Roy was the founder of a leading real estate and infrastructure development company called Confident Group. Confident Group is a premier property developer and conglomerate with over 65 projects (and up to 155 in various stages) completed across Kerala, Bangalore, and Dubai. The group specializes in luxury apartments, villas, and commercial complexes, alongside operations in education, hospitality, and entertainment sectors.
