
KOCHI: Renault's compact SUV Duster is making a return to the automobile market. Renault launched the third-generation model of Duster on Republic Day. Launched first in India in 2012, the Duster ended its run in the market after ten years in 2022.
90 per cent of the Duster, a ‘Made in India’ product, is specially designed for the country. It is built on the bulletproof Renault Group modular platform. The dashboard is made using carbon fibre components. The new Duster is powered by a hybrid petrol engine. Other features include a six-speed gearbox with dual-clutch transmission, wet clutch, and e-shifter.
