Mystery in death of Chinnu Papu; Grilling many including male friend

KASARGOD: There is mystery in the incident of finding the woman, a social media influencer, hanging in her rented room. The dead is K Reshma (24) alias Chinnu Papu of Adoor. Her body was found in the rented quarters near the city last afternoon. Her postmortem will be held today. Police said that they did not find anything unusual. The police also clarified that further investigation will be carried out after recording the statements of relatives and others.

She was living alone in Kasargod. She has more than two lakh followers on Instagram. After repeatedly calling her, she did not answer her phone, so her male friend came to her house and then found her hanging. He came to Chinnu's house with his friend Monday afternoon. Hearing his commotion after seeing her hanging, locals rushed and took her to the hospital, but could not save her life.

The woman has been estranged from her husband for quite some time. Her male friend started living with her recently. She ended her life when he went for work. The police are also questioning him. Chinnu is the daughter of Gangadharan and Shailaja from Adoor. She has a four-year-old son, who lives with his grandfather Gangadharan. Her divorce proceedings are going on. Initial reports say family issues led her to take the extreme step. She used to present videos in Kasargod recently. Most of them were cooking and travel videos. She used to upload promotional videos also.
