Happy family ripped apart due to wife's restaurant video; Heartbroken senior official kills two sons, himself

BRASILIA: An act of infidelity had to pay its price, causing total devastation to a family in Brazil. A senior local official in Itumbiara, 40-year-old Thales Machado, shot his two sons, aged 12 and 8, and killed himself after he got to watch a video of his wife, Sara Tinoco Araujo, kissing her paramour inside a restaurant.

Machado developed suspicion about his wife’s recent behaviour and is believed to have hired a private detective to find out the shady truth. It is reported that just hours before deciding on what to do, Machado posted a photo on social media with his two sons, putting a caption, "Blessed by God to have you, dad loves you very much."

His coworkers have purportedly mentioned seeing Machado heartbroken at work in the last few days. Social media has strongly reacted to the news, with many vilifying the woman for her greed and lechery despite having a happy family and career. However, others opined that it was unjustifiable that Machodo chose to take the lives of his two innocent children after being heartbroken knowing of his wife's adultery.

Reports suggest that police are investigating the case in detail.
