Districts including Thiruvanathapuram to receive rainfall and thunderstorms; winds with speeds up to 40 km per hour likely

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said eleven districts of Kerala are likely to receive rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in the next three hours.

Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms may occur at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts. Strong winds with speeds up to 40 km per hour are also likely, according to the weather department.

The IMD added that thunderstorms and rain may continue at isolated places today and tomorrow. Winds may blow at speeds between 30 and 40 km per hour during this period.
